Reggie Selma grew up in Birmingham, Alabama during the segregation of the “Jim Crow “ era. But, with the guidance of loving and supportive parents, including his father, who was a Baptist preacher, Reggie learned at an early age that hope not hate would be his “north star” for a brighter future.
And, he was right. In 1982, Reggie Selma made broadcast history, as CNN’s first African American cameraman to report live from the White House!
