Mohamed is the founder of VESSOL and a strategic advisor on organizational effectiveness and DEI. In the spring of 2017, Mohamed’s life changed following a near-death ATV accident that resulted in the amputation of his left hand. Prior to that accident, Mohamed performed under high pressure change daily as a professional athlete in the NFL. Mohamed was a 2009 second-round pick for the Cleveland Browns in the NFL draft and played professionally for 5 seasons. An accomplished speaker and thought leader, Mohamed regularly presents on opportunities in change, DEI, and creating high performance teams.

Mohamed earned both his Bachelor’s in Psychology and his Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia. During his time there, he was honored as the 2008 overall team captain and selected for both the first-team All-Southeastern Conference and the Academic All-SEC. He was also recognized as a member of the 2018 UGA 40 under 40 class and served on the University of Georgia alumni board from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, Mohamed is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development, which serves as their alternative to an executive MBA.
In his presentations, Mohamed recounts his extraordinary journey from high-performing NFL athlete to overcoming the loss of his hand in a near-fatal accident, and then redefining his career as an organizational psychologist focused on peak performance.
