A trailblazer for women leaders, Julie Bishop is the first woman to be Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs (2013-2018), the first female Chancellor of Australian National University, the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal (conservative) Party of Australia and the first Managing Partner of the law firm Clayton Utz in Western Australia. To international acclaim, she was one of the leaders in the response to the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 over the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine. In addition to her responsibility for Australia’s foreign policy, she also held responsibility for Australia’s Secret Intelligence Service and held regular briefings with US intelligence agencies. Julie is an entertaining and thought-provoking speaker on issues relating to leadership, international relations, security, education, and politics.
