Jeanne Meserve is co-host of the SpyTalk podcast, and is an International Security Expert for Canada’s CTV News. During her career as a correspondent and anchor with CNN and ABC News Jeanne earned her profession’s highest honors, including two Emmys and the Edward R. Murrow Award. She also contributed to two CNN Peabody Awards.
Meserve moderates discussions on a wide array of topics, including technology, democracy, security, health care and the environment. Recent engagements have included the Global Emerging Technology Summit of the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, AtlanticLIVE events, the Copenhagen and Denver Democracy Summits, the Munich Security Conference, the Halifax International Security Forum and the global conferences of the International Women’s Forum.
She has interviewed technology leaders including the Vice President of Facebook, the former CEO of Google and a top executive at Twitter. Among her other recent interviews, the CEOs of Patagonia and Peloton, the former Secretary General of NATO, the Vice President of the European Commission, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
Meserve speaks on topics including communication, media, and election security.
She has provided communication coaching to leaders in the corporate, government, academic and non-profit world, and is a member of the Homeland Security Experts Group and the Transatlantic Commission on Election Integrity. She is also a member of the board of the non-profit Space Foundation.
At CNN Meserve created the homeland security beat, and anchored worldwide coverage of the Yitzhak Rabin assassination and the death of Princess Diana. She was the first to report on the devastating flooding in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and was a key member of the CNN political team during the 1996 and 2000 elections. While at ABC News she covered the State Department and reported from the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
