Drew Bledsoe

Drew Bledsoe, a 14-year NFL veteran, four-time Pro Bowler, and Super Bowl champion, is known for his remarkable career and infectious energy both on and off the field. Drafted first overall in the 1993 NFL Draft out of Washington State, Bledsoe played a pivotal role in revitalizing the New England Patriots’ franchise during his nine seasons with the team. He set multiple records, including the NFL record for passing attempts in a single season (691 in 1994). In a Week 11 matchup that same year, Bledsoe set single-game records with 70 attempts and 45 completions, sparking a seven-game win streak that led the Patriots to their first playoff appearance in eight years.

While his time with the Patriots, under coaches Bill Parcells, Pete Carroll, and later Bill Belichick, was eventually cut short, Bledsoe played a crucial role in their first Super Bowl-winning season. He stepped in for an injured Tom Brady during the 2001 AFC Championship game, leading the team to victory and helping pave the way to their Super Bowl XXXVI win. In 2011, Bledsoe was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy with the team.

After his NFL career, Bledsoe found success as an entrepreneur, founding the Bledsoe Family Winery with his wife in 2007, producing the highly acclaimed Doubleback wines. Family remains a core value for Bledsoe, as he coached his sons’ football teams during their high school years. His dedication to making a positive impact extends to the Drew Bledsoe Foundation, through which he promotes “Parenting with Dignity,” a non-profit program that encourages responsible, independent behavior in children through dynamic parenting approaches.
