David Glasgow is the executive director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at NYU School of Law and coauthor of the acclaimed book Say the Right Thing: How to Talk About Identity, Diversity, and Justice. He offers a practical, shame-free approach to navigating conversations about our differences in a time of rapid social change.

David Glasgow is the founding executive director of the Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, an adjunct professor at NYU School of Law, and co-author of the book Say the Right Thing: How to Talk About Identity, Diversity, and Justice (Simon & Schuster, 2023). He regularly designs and executes educational programs on diversity, equity, and inclusion for Fortune 500 companies and professional services firms and has co-taught multiple courses at NYU Law with Professor Kenji Yoshino on leadership, diversity, and inclusion.
A dual-qualified lawyer in New York and Australia, David formerly practiced employment, labor relations, and antidiscrimination law at the international law firm King & Wood Mallesons. He has a BA in philosophy and an LLB (First Class Honors) from the University of Melbourne and an LLM from NYU School of Law, where he was awarded the David H. Moses Memorial Prize and the George Colin Award. David was the lead drafter on Black Theatre United’s groundbreaking “New Deal for Broadway” aimed at advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the commercial theatre industry, and has written for a range of publications including the Harvard Business Review, HuffPost, and Slate. He lives with his husband and two children in San Diego, California.
